Briargrove – Houston Neighborhood Overview
Briargrove subdivision was established in the 1950’s and is considered to be one of the most family-oriented and desirable neighborhoods in town. In- fact a large number of current residents grew up in the subdivision and have moved back to raise their own families. The in-town location and close proximity to many of Houston’s shopping and entertainment venues help maintain strong property values.
Briargrove is a subdivision of approximately 900 homes, with a strong home owners association, clubhouse, park, play area, and common swimming pool for residents as well as a great elementary school. Governed by a nine-member Board of Directors who manage the operational and administrative matters such as mandatory maintenance dues, maintaining deed restrictions and establishing architectural guidelines for new construction and remodeling projects.
Briargrove is a quiet residential neighborhood that is known for its friendly atmosphere and close-knit community. Recent street construction, new Briargrove Elementary School, close proximity to many of Houston’s shopping/entertaining venues. Residents have fairly easy commutes to and from Houston Districts via the main roads such as Westheimer Road, San Felipe Street and Woodway Drive, Richmond Ave, Southwest Freeway, and Loop 610 helps make Briargrove one of the most desirable places to live in Houston.
Briargrove homes sit on mid to large- sized lots, ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 plus Sq. Ft. Wooded grounds and well-kept front/backyards are common in the area. The median build year of 1959 and median size of 2,795 Sq. Ft for single family properties that range between $554-$1400k per Sq. Ft. The average list price is $1,333,405. Home prices range from the high $400,000’s to more than $1.5 million for new construction.
